The Case For Staff Safety Training in the Health & Community Sector.

With insufficient beds, high risk patients are moved into low risk wards without appropriate security procedures being transferred with them. A hospital system under stress and under resourced? You bet, sure looks that way to me.

So what can be done to protect staff and keep them working, given that nine times out of ten staff who are victims of occupational violence give up their dedicated careers and look for work where this level of violence is not present.

We are talking to a number of industry bodies about how best to equip their staff to manage these outbreaks when they occur.
