Veterans’ Health Week: Get Moving

Veterans’ Health Week focuses on promoting health, happiness and a sense of belonging for veterans, war widows, widowers, current and ex-serving members and their families in the veteran and wider community.
The theme for VHW 2013 is Physical Activity – Fitness, Strength, Flexibility and Balance.
Physical activity is vital to help individuals improve their physical and mental health, and sustain their fitness levels. It is fundamental to a healthy lifestyle and can assist individuals to live a happier and longer life. Physical activity is one of the most important things you can do to improve your health and wellbeing.
